Unfair competition, parasitism & passing off

Our expertise in litigation extends to all issues of unfair competition, parasitism or passing off, whether or not linked to intellectual property rights infringement issues.

It is common that the owner of intellectual property rights (IPRs), whether patents, trademarks, design rights or copyrights, claiming that his/her rights are infringed, also claims that the defendant has committed acts of unfair competition or parasitism connected to the alleged acts of IPR infringement.

But litigation may also be commenced solely on unfair competition or parasitism grounds, outside any issue of IPR infringement.

In both cases,
procedural means are available to obtain damages and injunctive relief.

We represent our clients in all such proceedings before French courts, both as plaintiffs or defendants.

Perpetual motion with light bulbs.
